Each summer, Parent/Guardian Orientation offers an opportunity to learn about the exciting new experiences that await your son or daughter as they enter the University of Connecticut! The Parent/Guardian orientation program is not mandatory for parent/guardians to attend. The program provides valuable information on the University, its services, and the college transition process for students. Parents have commented on our orientation evaluations that attending the program was time well spent. Others commented that they learned a lot about the University, its staff and services.
Parent/Guardian Orientation programs are completely separate from your student’s orientation program.
By attending Parent/Guardian Orientation, you will:
- Gain an understanding of the resources available to UConn students and parents
- Feel more connected to the University
- Be better prepared to support and empower your son/daughter
- Understand the University’s academic expectations
