ORIENTATION IS MANDATORY: All first time degree seeking students attending the University of Connecticut at Storrs are required to attend an Orientation program in order to register for classes.

We will be offering some early Orientation sessions in January for new students who are able to attend them. If you are an international student who will be in the United States during our early Orientation sessions you can register for session when your school and college is meeting. Please note that all the residence halls at UConn do not open until Sunday, January 14, 2018 which means you cannot move into your residence hall room to attend an early Orientation session.

If you are not able to attend an early Orientation session then you will register for classes on Monday, January 15 which is when other students who cannot make the early sessions will attend.

This program is for new students only. Parents, friends or siblings CANNOT stay with new students during their Orientation session. Parents, friends or siblings will have to wait for their student until the Orientation program ends at 5:00 p.m. Parent Orientation is not offered during the December/January Orientation period.

HEALTH FORM & F1 REGULATION SESSION: All international students on an F1 visa have to complete Health Screening and attend a session on F1 Immigration Regulations. We will update students on these two sessions when they attend Orientation. All new UConn students need to submit to UConn’s Department of Student Health Services a completed Health History form before the January 1, 2018 deadline. Students can access the Health History Form. The address for submission can be found on the Health History form.
