One Day Orientation Program on January 12, 2018
If you are coming to Storrs after 2+ semesters at a regional campus, you are a campus change student.
This day-long Orientation program will give new Campus Change students an opportunity to meet with a Storrs academic advisor from their school/college who will review their schedule of classes for the spring. Included in the program are special interest sessions that focus on academic adjustment and success at Storrs, living on campus, attending Storrs as a commuter, financing college, co-curricular involvement, Career Development, along with a walking tour of campus so students can locate their class buildings. The program time is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Campus Change Orientation will give new campus changers a variety of resources to work with at Storrs which will help in their transition to campus life. January 12 is the ONLY time this program will be offered.
This is a MANDATORY PROGRAM for all schools and colleges with the exception of the School of Business and the School of Nursing.
This program is for new students only. Parents, friends or siblings CANNOT stay with new students during their Orientation session. Parents, friends or siblings will have to wait for their student until the Orientation program ends at 5:00 p.m. Parent Orientation is not offered during the December/January Orientation period.
